City Church Youth

Youth & Family Ministry

Our ministry to Middle School and High School students by God’s grace is a growing community that is deeply connected with one another—all the beauty and messiness of knowing and being known.

Our team is led by our Youth and Families director, Zach Mashburn, college-aged interns, and a team of vested adults who plan, teach, facilitate discussion, engage in relationship with and pray for our students.

City Church considers it a privilege to walk alongside our youth. Our deepest desire is that they would know the truth of the Gospel and the hope that is available in Jesus. Our intent is to create a safe place where all honest questions are honored and welcome.

What We Do

WEEKLY OPPORTUNITIES

High School Bible Study (for 9-12th graders) meets on Sundays from 5-6:30p a City Church family's home. All youth students are currently studying "Person of Jesus" studies through SeeJesus. Join us!

Middle School Bible Study (for 5th-8th graders) meets on Wednesdays from 5-6:30p in East Nashville. We typically kick off with a large group game and then MS girls and MS boys meet separately for study and discussion. All youth students are currently studying "Person of Jesus" studies through SeeJesus. Join us!

MONTHLY OPPORTUNITIES

Youth Hangs are events we do just for fun once a month. The intent here is to provide opportunities to grow deeper in community with each other, as we seek to grow in our relationship with Jesus! Check out the calendar below, for upcoming events.

At least once a semester, we do a Service Event, where we work together to meet needs in our city. These events are great opportunities to serve our community — as we grow in the knowledge of how deeply we are loved by God, and how to extend that love to others.

Keep an eye on the calendar as we also add opportunities specifically for parents to connect and grow together.
